My journey in design began with dreams and opportunities that weren’t equally available to everyone. Having experienced a variety of challenges myself, I feel compelled to collaborate with organizations that share my passions and have dealt with similar issues. Surviving instances of sexual abuse, false imprisonment, injustice, poverty, and coping with their mental aftermath, I’m driven to give back and make a difference, striving to prevent others from enduring similar circumstances. So, I’ve dedicated over 10,000 hours to utilizing both my personal experience and design skills for positive change. While my formal education in Design has primarily served to enhance my credentials, my practical experience in designing has been nurtured since I was only 15.
Through pro bono work and partnerships with non-profit organizations, I aim to empower causes and groups that align with my vision of a fairer, more inclusive world. Witnessing the transformative potential of design to inspire action and drive change, I undertake projects that provide opportunities to others without requiring substantial budgets, achieved through compelling charity campaigns.
While my journey has encountered challenges, navigating various social adversities and stigmas, the satisfaction of knowing that my work has made a difference overshadows these obstacles. Furthermore, it propels me to advocate for design education in underserved communities, nurturing the talents of aspiring designers.
My mission to give back through design has evolved into a profound source of purpose, intensifying my creative passion. I firmly believe that acknowledging and embracing the diversity of circumstances unites us in creating a positive impact. With every contribution, whether substantial or modest, let’s collaboratively construct a world where creativity flourishes boundlessly, and the potential within each individual is set free.
I’m actively engaged in the process of identifying and procuring essential materials while overseeing the management of homes for individuals and families facing dire circumstances. The aim is to provide a safe and stable living environment for those in need, fostering a sense of security and enabling them to regain their footing.
In addition to these efforts, I’ve also curated a range of confidential resources designed to offer around-the-clock support for individuals dealing with addiction or abuse. These resources are accessible at any time, providing a lifeline for those who may be struggling and in need of immediate assistance. My commitment to making a positive impact extends to various aspects of personal and communal well-being, ensuring that support and guidance are readily available to those who require it most.
